Meet Kade!
Kade was just recently diagnosed with SOD (septo
optic dysplasia), which means the optic nerves didn't develop all
the way and he is missing the septum pellucidum, which is the piece
of tissue that separates the left from the right side of the brain,
and helps relay messages from one side to another.
Kade had his MRI at Children's Hospital in
January and had to go under general anesthesia. It was the hardest
thing as a mother, to let go of your baby into the arms of a
stranger, knowing that their taking him to go do tests.
Kade is now enrolled with the Anchore Center for
the Blind, and is also working with a therapist from Imagine. Kade
goes to the Anchore Center twice a week and works with three
therapist every week at home
We are hoping that our dream will come true with
taking Kade to this miraculous place in China where they do stem
cell treatments (from the umbilical cord). Our dream is to give Kade
sight, to let him see the world like we do! We know that by giving
Kade better sight he will be able to do many more things. As a
mother you want to be able to give your child every opportunity, and
I believe that by getting Kade stem cell treatments we can
accomplish our dream! |

Kade loves
music!
He can already recognize classical songs, like Mozart.
As soon as he hears music, he sits very quietly and listens.
He even laughs at sounds he thinks are funny.
Kade is a wonderful little boy, who has already impacted so
many lives. Now it's his turn for someone to impact his!
